While we firmly believe that good training isn't about gimmicks or gadgets, we have found that there are a few inventions out there than can make your training (and your life with your dog) easier.  These positive management tools can make working with your dog more comfortable or pleasant, increasing the likelihood that you'll work better, and more often, with your dog.

We can't possibly compete with big box stores on price or selection. Therefore, the products described here aren't sold in local stores and may be different than things you have seen.

Martingale Leashes

     Small & Medium - $15.00

    Large - $20.00

     Currently available in small, medium and large sizes, with six foot leash length. Colors include black (with red or multi-colored) collar; yellow (with black); purple (with pink); red (with black); blue (with yellow) (limited sizes only). 

      This leash is currently being used by several organizations that we work with in daycare and shelter settings to assure safety of the dogs in their care while walking. Properly fitted and secured, this leash/collar combination minimizes the risk of a dog slipping out of his collar.  

Ultra Leashes - $30.00 

      Currently available in lengths of 8 and 10 feet, and assorted colors, including blue, black and green, and thin and thick rope diameters.

      We have modified the original version of this product for the 5/8 inch leashes by adding larger, more secure clips for better and safer management of large or aggressive dogs. Comfortable to hold, this unusual leash can be used as a waist leash, a long line, a short or doubled training lead, or as temporary tie-out (under close supervision, of course!). Perfect for a variety of training needs!   

Dolan's Dog Doodad's Wonder Walker Body Halters - $30.00

     While front-clip walking harnesses are gaining popularity, you'll only find a sub-par version in the local stores. This harness, shipped to order from our supplier in Seattle, is by far the best around in terms of quality of workmanship and security of fit. Available in a variety of sizes and colors, this front-clip harness makes walking even the most difficult dog a breeze - and also provides a safe car restraint in one piece of equipment. Car Straps

     Medium & Large - $10.00

These adjustable car straps are designed for use with the Wonder Walker Body Halter. No more wrestling with a separate seat belt for your dog - this easy-to-use car strap restrains your dog in the car by attaching to the back of the halter and connecting through your car's seat belt. Don't take a chance that your dog could become a projectile in a car accident - or worse!

Service Leashes - $25.00

We'll admit we are fussy about leashes - in fact, we'd prefer not have to hold one all the time (which is why we like the hands-free Ultra Leash so much!), BUT if I have to have a leash in my hand, this is the one I want!  The main handle is padded with neoprene for comfort, and the length of the leash is adjustable. A second padded handle lays flat along the leash end closest to your dog, so you can easily restrain your dog more closely when necessary. The second handle collapses and lays flat, so no worries that your dog will accidentally step in it!
